Everything Photinerary does on your own device comes with the app, and your library syncs through iCloud with no account. Pro adds the parts that run on Photinerary's server: the forecast read for photographers, alerts for your own spots, thousands of places to shoot, and friends to plan with.

Sunrise and sunset color and clear, dark nights for the next five days, read the way a photographer reads them. Color is judged from high and mid cloud overhead and a check for low cloud 50 and 150 km toward the sun, where a point forecast can't see. Each reading lists its reasons, and appears on your trip stops and planned shots too. More
Choose any mix of colorful sunrise, colorful sunset, clear dark night, fresh snow or morning fog for a saved place. Hear the evening before, or two evenings before for somewhere further away, so there's time to get there. Quiet on every other evening. More
Over 8,000 photo locations with credited photos, nearest first or by category: waterfalls, lighthouses, viewpoints and more. Each shows which way the view faces and tonight's sky. The AI trip planner draws on them, and Siri knows them by name. Suggest your own places for review. More
Add friends by their @handle. Share a shot plan, trip or journal visit to Activity, and choose whether friends see the exact spot; when they can, they can save their own copy of your plan. Like what your friends are shooting and hear when they share. More
Invite friends to a trip or shot as Can Edit or Can View, and plan it together, with everyone's changes kept in step. Invitations arrive in the app with a badge and a notification. More
Set a year's goals for shoots, photo trips and new locations on your Community profile. Progress counts itself from your journal and the trips you mark as taken, and you can share it. More

Pro is an annual subscription. The App Store shows the price in your own currency before you subscribe, on the subscription screen in the app.
Yes, one week, if you haven't had a Pro trial before. The app only offers "Start Free Trial" when you're eligible. You can cancel during the trial and won't be charged.
In the app, go to Settings › Photinerary Pro, or tap any Pro prompt (for example the Community tab). Pro needs an account, at no extra charge, because it runs on our server, so you'll sign in with Apple as part of subscribing. You can hide your email from us.
Your library lives on your devices and in your iCloud account, so it never needs ours. Pro features run on Photinerary's server: friends need to find each other, alerts are scheduled there, and the catalog is shared. An account is how the server knows who you are. Signing in on its own doesn't unlock anything.
Yes. Subscribe once and Pro works on your iPhone, iPad and Mac using the same Apple Account. Sign in to Photinerary on each one (Settings › Account), and if Pro doesn't appear on a new device, tap Restore Purchases in Settings › Photinerary Pro.
In the iOS Settings app: your name › Subscriptions › Photinerary. You keep Pro until the end of the year you've paid for. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Pro features stop appearing. Everything in your own library stays: your locations, shots, trips, journal and goals are in iCloud, not on our server. You can still remove your profile photo and block people. Subscribe again and Community picks up where you left off.
Photinerary for Android is coming soon, with the same Community, so friends on either platform will be able to find and share with each other. Details on Pro for Android will be here when it launches.

Only what Pro needs to work, set out in the Privacy Policy. Your library isn't sent to us, and the AI drafts are written on your device. You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account › Delete Account.
